Q: Do I have to use your couriers or can I choose my own?
A: Archiva works closely with all couriers and shippers (Marken, World Courier, Ocasa, TNT, FedEx, DHL, and UPS). If you have a preferred carrier, we can work with any vendor you choose.
Q: What are your specimen storage capabilities?
A: Archiva offers secure short- or long-term storage of samples, in -196 °C LN2 Liquid Phase, -135 °C to 190 °C LN2 Vapor Phase, -80 °C, -20 °C, refrigerated, and controlled-ambient conditions. We monitor all storage unit temperature data via the Rees Cenetron environmental monitoring system that notifies staff immediately, should any temperature fall out of range.
Q: What is the average turnaround time for pulling and shipping samples?
A: The turnaround time for sample shipments depends on the number of samples requested. We prefer a few days of advance notice, but same-day requests can be accommodated, if possible.
Q: How do I know which of my samples you have in-house?
A: Sample Inventory Manifests can be provided for your review. These can be sent to you on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.
